plants can be purchased all year. We only grow a certain
number of plants in each color and variety, so an order
placed will insure that your favorite colors and plants are
already reserved for when we are ready to start our spring
shipping Special Annual Plant Varieties:
We grow varieties of annuals that you may not find where you live. In addition, you can pick exactly the colors you want and mix and match any plant combinations. We carefully choose the plants based on their garden performance and beauty of the flowers and the foliage. These annuals are excellent used in all flowerboxes and add continuous color to a garden area. In the cooler regions of the country, annuals will complete their life cycle in a season and will freeze when the weather falls below 32 degrees. In warmer regions of the country, the plants will live all year long.
Ready to Plant and Bloom: You receive mature plants ready to plant directly in your containers or garden beds. We ship our well established plants in 4" diameter pots. There are no seeds to sow or little transplants to worry about.
We DO NOT ship dormant or bareroot plants. The roots are fully intact and the plants are generally shipped in bud and should bloom two weeks after planting in your container or garden bed. We believe this larger pot will allow the types of plants we grow to develop a bigger and better root system making it easier for the plant to take off when replanted without stress or transplant shock. This is also a good size to plant into a mixed container.
Healthy and Home Grown: Our plants are all grown from clean, disease-free stock under optimal growing conditions in our own greenhouses.
Outstanding Performance: These flowers will produce outstanding results for the homeowner but are more work for the grower. That is because the varieties of annuals we offer can not be produced from seed. Instead, each plant is started from a cutting taken from the mother plant and grown to maturity. These cuttings types of annuals outperform the seed varieties. Cutting annuals will grow beefier, heftier stems and plant bodies. These plants are more vigorous and produce flowers that can withstand the rain, heat and wind problems that cause petal shattering.
Carefully Shipped Direct To You:
The packing and shipping of our plants is a critical part of
the entire process. We have developed our own custom boxes
and inserts to carefully cradle each plant on its journey.
